ALL IS NOT LOST by AdamMidd ALL IS NOT LOST by AdamMidd
Had this idea a few nights ago of a diver coming across the remains of the Millennium Falcon deep underwater.

After finishing the painting, decided to all the Star Wars titles and the slogan "All is not lost" and sort of turn the painting into a marketing piece that could go on a billboard.

Had a lot of fun with this!

Vision wise I think you knew what you wanted and pulled it off well, it was a nice idea putting this underwater and making it almost Titanic esque with the ruined parts and exposed framework and accumulated debris/seaweed growth etc. Well done.

I think like the new xwing, this has a really original concept of doing the ships in the past. Not many people go the destroyed/lost/broken route for SW. ESPECIALLY a famous piece like the MF. So for originality I have to give high marks.

Technique is pretty straight forward PS digi-painting, your definitely good though/talented, no doubts there. Your paintings dont have a uniform style though, you sort off modulate between several other well known artists styles, and while they are all decent artists, I havent yet figured out what YOUR style is, so for technique I give average rating. Still, dont take this negative, very nice none the less (its why I follow you)

Impact is good, I gave 4.5 because the idea is clever, well executed and fun. The concept is new AFAIK and you did well with the lighting, water look (without overdoing) and little details and effects.

Overall a very nice piece, I really hope you continue these! =)

This piece is, by far and away, one of the most impressive outside-the-box perspectives I've ever seen into the Star Wars Universe. Fantastic colors and a choice to have it in the water. The AT-AT piece is also excellent, as is the X-Wing, but I admit that jungle-scapes aren't my niche. Keep up the brilliant work.

And for the love of Pesci, if you ever want to sell a print (a large one), please let me know!

I really love your 'Episode VII' posters. Our ideas are a bit similar but the performances are way different and like it!

I still like the story where Indiana Jones goes in search for Big Foot and discovers the remains of the Millenium Falcon somewhere deep in the forests somewhere.
